Cruise lines looking to fill up end-of-year sailings put our great deals. Cruise lines looking to get a jump start on next year's season also put out great deals, to lure early bookers. What's the best deal for you? Depends on your objectives. If you're simply looking to get rock-bottom pricing and are flexible on dates and locations, book your cruise 90 days out.

If you are set on a specific itinerary and room class, book early, as rooms categories are limited and popular destinations for certain months book up fast.

#2. Book Now, Pay Later

A small deposit paid in October can hold your cruise spot for the following year. That gives you between 6-10 months to work overtime, save up, or make small payments throughout the year so that when your sail date arrives, you're all paid up.
