I have always been interested in travel.  As a 20 year member of the American Business Women’s Association, a past National President and a ABWA Top Ten Business Woman, I had the great fortune of traveling all over the United States to Conferences.  I also spent 15 years living in a variety of different places throughout the US and Canada as I closed retail stores.  It was a great opportunity to visit places and explore new cities.  When the opportunity came along to purchase a Travel Franchise, it seemed to be a perfect fit for me.  I had been planning and arranging travel and adventures for friends already, now was a opportunity to learn the best ways of doing that and helping others to enjoy their travel experiences to the fullest while creating life long memories.  My sister and I purchased the Franchise and have watched our business grow year after year.  Most of the growth comes from repeat business and referrals.

My travel favorites include River Cruising and Europe as well as various locations around the US.  There are many places I haven’t had the opportunity to visit, but wanderlust is part of who I am, so I am looking forward to exploring many more destinations.

I am single and felt very strongly about reaching out to other women travelers who wanted to travel with someone or in a group, but didn’t know anyone to travel with.  We created the Women’s Travel Lovers Meetup group to fulfill that need.  I also have volunteered in the community with the Girl Scouts, the Annapolis Film Festival and also the Annapolis Rotary Annual Crab Fest.  If you are out and about in Annapolis or Crofton, MD don’t be surprised if you run into one of us at any type of networking event.

After 30 years in Corporate America, and 10 years in real estate, I retired and bought a travel franchise with my sister. We love helping people plan the good times in their lives that will lead to memories that last a lifetime. The reward is in the people we meet, and the relationships that we build. For the past 20+ years I have been a member of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA), and we currently have our business in the Crofton Chamber of Commerce. We network extensively thoughtout the Annapolis area, and we do the Crofton Festival on the Green in the Spring and Fall, however, many of our clients are from all over the country.

While I was a real estate agent, I became an empty nester, and my husband and I started traveling. We prefer cruising, and I love the Caribbean in the winter. I don't think Florida is warm enough any more! I have been on over 50+ cruises on 11 different cruise lines, and to Europe and most islands in the Caribbean. For me, cruising is ultimate relaxation...a steward cleans my room twice a day, there is great food whenever I want it, but there is a gym within walking distance. There are pools and whirlpools and entertainment productions that are unevelievable! Unpack once, get off the ship (if you want to), visit multiple destinations, relax, pack, and go home. The best part is that you can pay before you go. I usually book my trips a year in advance so that I can enjoy the anticipation. It's a great way to get through the tough days in life when you have something to look forward to.

All that being said about cruises...I love doing land travel in Europe. I have been to Germany, Italy, Austria, England, Spain and Portugal. There is so much to see in Europe and the fact that their tourist attractions are sometimes thousands of years old just blows my mind. There's so much more that I hope to see in Europe, so my plans will definitely take me there again.

My husband John and I  have been married for over 45 years, have 2 grown sons. One lives nearby with his wife and daughter (my grandchildren (2)  and the lights of my life). My other son lives in Boulder, Colorado and is a chef.
